I flew into Queratario Airport, Mexico, on solo trip to San Miguel de Allende. I’m there for a few days then down to Mexico City. I flew United Airlines from Austin > IAH > QRO.
This is my first solo trip abroad in many years, before COVID hit and altered the world order. I think my last solo trip was in 2019 when I went to Israel and Jordan.
San Miguel de Allande has got charm and a laid back lifestyle, great art scene and good eats. I loved my hotel, Casa Mia Suites. I met many Americans and made some friends.
My second half of the trip into Mexico City trip went great, too Better than I expected. I took a bus from SMDA to Mexico City. I stayed on the Hyatt Regency in the Polanco area, which is like Beverly Hills, perhaps even nicer. The city reminded my of Los Angeles in many ways. I loved it – the museums are great. Dining is spectacular. There’s so much to do – and it’s all like half as much than what everything costs in America.
The highlights of Mexico City were Museum of Anthropology and the Teotihuacan pyramid. I got tired after the pyramid tour after a week of daily adventures and took a rest.
Flew back home in business class on Aeromexico – cashed in some points, another free reward ticket. Love them points!
