I went with a good friend, Adam, to Argentina this month. We were both celebrating our November Scorpio birthdays. It just felt like a good time to go on a bro trip together and as Adam speaks fluent Spanish, it just all made sense.
We spent four days in Buenos Aires and two days up in the Iguazu Falls area.
Buenos Aires has been on my bucket list for a long time. I was very impressed by Argentina – the food, culture and people were all good. I loved the Spanish/German/Italian influences all blending together.
And, with the Argentine currency crisis going on, everything cost about half as much as it does here, so we travelled cheap.
Some highlights:
Dinner at La Cabrera in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires. The steak meal was impressive – the lomo cut of grass fed Argentine steak was delicious, maybe the best steak I’ve ever had. The unique grilled provolone appetizer was awesome – add in some chimuchurri and it was a great way to start the trip.
Dinner at La Trapiche felt like being in Italy in 1950s. I loved that restaurant – food was great, too.
Iguazu Falls just killed. While the waterfalls in Iceland were epic, Iquazu Falls had the jungle like green setting all around, which added to its overall impressive views.
